One of those common 'weedy'
looking plants that grow everywhere - the Plantago Lanceolata has a long
history of medicinal uses - (Click)
though I haven't seen the medical profession out here gathering them
lately. This is one of the plants also enjoyed as natural toys, wrapping
the long stem around itself and pulling the straight end until the
flower head is caught at the loop. A slight tug will pop the head off as
a projectile.
