A large unidentified Spider protecting its egg sac - I discovered it under a rock in an area that is often covered by the Raritan River. The spider had recently molted and I discovered the molt on the underside of the (click) rock.

I hadn't realized that spiders shed a complete skin as do other arthropods - hmmm. . .live and learn
