Bee on Aster

On cool, wet mornings when occasional rain sprinkles the remaining blossoms, you're likely to see many bees hanging upside down like this, barely moving - waiting for an opportunity to milk the last of the year's nectar. The cold and wet slows them down making it easy to get within 2 inches or so with the camera.
