"The deadly warfare between
mankind and the insects never ends. Every minute of the day
and night, billions of them are attacking our crops, orchards,
forests and grasslands. They attack our homes, gardens, and even
ourselves. Of those that were inadvertently brought to the United
States from foreign countries, one of the most destructive is the
Japanese Beetle." Courtesy:

Japanese
Beetles
Are not Japanese
and share neither the culture nor the language. Here's
some basic info from another site. I've
always liked these busy playthings and admire their colorful shell. They
are gregarious and tend to focus on one plant, leaving others alone. While
perusing the Internet, I came across a florid paragraph of mankind
vs the insects and I
reproduce it here for your entertainment. |
