Winter plant forms - the left-behinds. 

Each plant has its own shape and character. 

Some seeds remain attached - as seed dispersal occurs over a period of time. I guess that is to maximize the chances of seeds finding fertile ground under the right conditions. I continue to bring Burdock home with me (riding on the elbows of my coat or cuffs). 

February is one of my favorite months as I feel a quieting of Winter. This has been a classic winter with plenty of cold, moderate snow and enough wind to make one truly appreciate the calmer days.
