Early 70 degree warmth brought out the water snakes (213.1) - so involved were they with the pleasures of warming themselves that I was able to get close enough for the shot. 

The first Marsh Marigold caught my eye and Spring is on. . .pushing through the mud, coloring the edges, softening the air.

Ducks and geese populate the canal and river banks in greater numbers as nesting begins.
