Late
April 2003
April
provides the opportunity to see much of what's been dormant around
here for the past
6 months.
Looking
close to the ground I see dozens of varieties of plant forms emerging as
rosettes or shoots. Upright branches that remained vital through
the winter now swell, color and bud.
The
many birds, some year round residents, some migratory, have become
active
and songful. The first Orioles have appeared. The first Cabbage
White butterflies catch my eye.
