Mid-August
2003
Heavy
dews, dusty leaves (becoming perforated and tattered by various
assaults on their integrity), whining Cicadas (Dog Day Harvest
Flies) - is my sense of mid August.

For
Purple Loosestrife- a-phobes, I can report that there appears to
be less of it this year than last, (in the little spillway field I
love to photograph). For Purple Loosestrife-a-philes, take heart -
there's still plenty.
