Late
August 2003
I'm
no fan of September's. School memories - the smell, while
not unpleasant, is still in my head - What a place - Passing on
whatever is thought appropriate to pass on without much concern
for accuracy or perspective or other points of view. Most of what
has been of value to me, has come from friends, family and
discovery. . .I
wonder about the process of passing on our culture. How does that
work? What filter screens information from one generation to the
next? What's lost, what ignored, what embellished? I think of
history as a complex 'telephone game' and I suppose the same
process goes on here at the park among the ducks and the bees.
i.e. "Here's the scoop. . . . .Pass it on".
