Plenty of green still showing . . .moss, honeysuckle leaves, ground ivy and nettle.

As the ice melts, new shapes can be seen - gentle curves revealing underlying processes.

Fallen Tree

Soon there will be Snow Drops taking advantage of their freeze tolerance.

Skunk Cabbage should be up, but I haven't found any yet.

 Even grass casts shadows 

  Does that sound profound, or what? - Canalphotos loves to sound profound.

My brother told me that Box Elder wood is sought after  by woodworkers for the fungal discoloration that appears as it begins to decay - the term used to describe the process / result is spalting.
