Drab as drab can be. . .the hateful bland March muddiness - blight of the season - good for nothing, tick awakening, breezy, cool when you want it mild, March - April's not much better - ugh, how I suffer through this time - (Hurry, June) Eeeyuckkk! ;-)

A crew of workers (left) from the NJ Water Supply Authority hauling debris from the canal ( which ever tries to fill itself up again and return to its original, pre-disturbed state).

Left and right, several of the waterfowl - Mergansers disappear completely underwater as they dive for fish. Check out the female merganser's long brownish hair (289.8).
