Smartweed, Pennsylvania Smartweed,  Pinkweed. . .what's in a name?

One winter I discovered the beauty in the curled dry leaves and the graceful empty seed pods. An easily overlooked delight.

Here's (click)  what some have to say about this plant that grows in your backyard, between sidewalk cracks in town (though, in those places, they don't grow to full height of 3 feet as here).

Having read that, now I'm gonna have to taste it (Smoert!).
