Stink Bug

As I walked the browned woodland, a piece of bright green caught my eye. An early leaf?. . .but it was half hidden in tree bark.

 Examination revealed this Stink Bug (I'm not easily fooled)

It was so cold (near freezing), the bug could barely move.
